La Niché commenced trade on the Gold Coast, Queensland, November 1996. We were inspired by our long association with Mexico and past years of both living and travelling through France, Italy, Spain, Central and South America. During this period we became consumed by the beauty, charm and history of the many jewellery and decor pieces we encountered. So much so, that upon our return to Queensland, we decided to create “La Niché”, as a means of sharing our passion.

Our designs, finishes and the majority of our range are exclusive to La Niche. Our collection is handcrafted by an eclectic group of talented artisans and jewellers, the majority of whom are based in the Central highlands of Mexico. These craftspeople still practice the skills and techniques handed down over the centuries by their ancestors.

Our jewellers do not use recycled silver in the creation of our pieces. Therefore our jewellery looks whiter and brighter than that of our competitors from other countries. It also reduces tarnishing and cleaning!

We've work directly with the artisans and jewellers in the creation of new designs, colour combinations and finishes, in the hope of bringing you the most exciting and diverse range of products available from Latin America. We believed we achieved this. But… Now, after 20 years of our family importing from Mexico, we have decided to cease the importation of all our Homeware lines, and only continue with our latest range…Quality Mexican Sterling Silver and Alpaca Jewellery.
